Does SwiftGuest charge a gateway fee on top of Stripe?
No. SwiftGuest does not add any markup on Stripe transactions. You pay only Stripe's standard processing fees.
What is Stripe Connect and why do hotels need it?
Stripe Connect lets multi-property groups accept payments under one platform while routing funds to each property's own bank account. It simplifies accounting and compliance for hotel portfolios.
Is it PCI compliant?
Yes. Card data is tokenized by Stripe.js on the client side and never touches SwiftGuest servers. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security.
Can I process refunds directly from SwiftGuest?
Yes. Full and partial refunds are processed from the reservation folio. The refund is sent to Stripe instantly and the guest receives their funds within Stripe's standard settlement period.
Which currencies are supported?
Stripe supports 135+ currencies. SwiftGuest passes the property's configured currency to Stripe for each transaction. Multi-currency properties can accept payments in the guest's preferred currency.
